Be nice to your fellow EV owners – good etiquette means good karma!

Never touch someone else’s vehicle or charging cable – Hikotron chargers lock cables into the socket. Only the current user can remove them

If your vehicle is not charging, move it! Otherwise you will be charged idle fees. Idle fee information is displayed in the mobile app.

Make sure your charging cable is neatly placed whilst charging avoiding any trip hazards

All BEVs are equal – whether your vehicle has a small or large battery pack all EV’s have equal rights to use the chargers

It’s ok to ask for help – if you get stuck reach out to Hikotron or the EV community with your question

Do plan ahead – check if the charger is available on the Hikotron mobile app before you set off on your journey

Educate don’t agitate, be a good EV ambassador – Although it can be frustrating, if you have been ICEed or EV-Holed, don’t leave anything other than a polite note on an offending vehicle

Monitor your charging session on the Hikotron mobile app to avoid idle fees. Idle fee information is displayed in the mobile app

Always check local signage for parking and time restrictions.

The red e-stop button is for emergency use ONLY. Pressing this button will not end the charging session and the current users cable will remain locked into the charger. Please only use it in an emergency

Look after the chargers and your fellow EV drivers – report any damage to Hikotron via the mobile app
