Hikotron is preparing for New Zealand’s electric future.

We are an Electric Vehicle (EV) charging company based in Hamilton, Waikato, New Zealand, creating and rolling out state-of-the-art AC public chargers. We aim to provide EV drivers a service that is focused on a simple user experience, reliability and convenience.

We are working to establish New Zealand’s largest EV AC charging network so that drivers with EVs can travel from destination to destination with the confidence that they can charge their vehicles upon arrival.

Our proprietary charger and mobile app are designed and built in New Zealand by the Hikotron team and our Kiwi partners. The design is based on learnings from proven European AC Type 2 socket infrastructure, with further high-tech improvements including two pending patents that address common EV charging infrastructure pain points.

Hikotron is vertically integrated allowing for rapid response in maintenance, continuous R&D, and an investment that remains in New Zealand.
